The brief
Erin Addison is a landscape architect, writer and scholar with over 30 years of experience in cultural and natural heritage conservation, focused on sustainable design and planning for arid lands. She is also the author of an upcoming novel, The Servant of Dreams, set in Jordan in 2014.
She needed one home that serves both audiences: people looking for her landscape and conservation work, and readers discovering her fiction. And because she shares her name with an actress, an athlete and several professionals, she needed to actually show up when someone searched for her.

A home for the novel
A dedicated page for The Servant of Dreams with the story, a blurb and an excerpt for early readers.

Selected Landscapes and Work, covering water-conscious gardens, arid land planning, site analysis and cultural heritage sites.

Sections for her published articles and blog posts, so her research and writing keep the site fresh.

Then we put her on Google
A beautiful site does little if nobody finds it. We optimized every page's title and description, added structured data for breadcrumbs and her author profile, rebuilt the XML sitemap with every active page, and worked through Google Search Console until Google could crawl and index the site.
The challenge: a search for "Erin Addison" was crowded with an actress on IMDb, a marketing consultant on LinkedIn, a college athlete and more.
The result: her own site, Erin Addison | Landscape Design | Addison usufruct, now appears in those results, and Google is indexing her updated pages, including the page for her novel.
