The brief
Nadeem Iqbal writes independent analysis drawing on years of professional intelligence and national security experience. He is also the author of Syriana: 1 Nation, 10 Wars.
He needed a home for that work that looks as serious as the analysis itself, a permanent library for his Defence Intelligence Reports (DIRs) that stays organized as the collection grows, and a natural path for readers to his book.
What we built
An authoritative brand
A custom emblem, a world map backdrop and a headline that sets the tone: analysis built to outlast the news cycle.
Navigation by region and topic
Menus for geography, topics and special crises, so readers go straight to the conflict or region they follow.
A path to the book
A Read the Book button sits right beside Explore Analysis on the homepage.
A DIR repository
Every Defence Intelligence Report is stored and maintained in one library, classified by topic, region and other categories, with a filter bar and a PDF download on every report.
The DIR repository
Alongside the publication, we built a dedicated repository where every Defence Intelligence Report is stored and maintained. Reports are classified by topic, region and other categories such as Asia, Russia, US vs Iran, and Finance and E-commerce, so readers can filter straight to what they follow and download any report as a PDF.
The results
A serious first impression
The design matches the weight of the subject matter.
A library that keeps growing
Each new DIR slots into the right classification, so the archive stays easy to search no matter how large it gets.
Analysis that sells the book
Every visit puts Syriana in front of an interested reader.
